Kingdom Messenger Network Issue #60- Social Media Prayer Ministry
Is It Too Late To Pray…?
by Theresa Croft
Is it too late to pray for America?
One glance at the headlines in today’s paper or even posts on Facebook, and you can easily see the war that is going on right now.
What once was considered wrong is proclaimed as right. What once was thought of as unnatural is now declared normal.
This is not an essay on politics.
I do not believe a certain political party or president will be the key to turn this nation around.
But I do believe in the ONE who can turn this nation back closer to its Judeo Christian foundation.
What hope do I have?
Only one…that we return to the Biblical foundation of praying in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord. I believe that if we DO humbly confess and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin and will heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
With the looming election on the horizon that could ultimately determine our nation’s freedoms and future, I can’t help but say something. And if you add the fact that the peace of Israel is involved, well, this fire that’s on the inside of me can’t help but spill out on the keyboard of this Mac on my lap.
I will not rant and complain about our present conditions or even President, for that matter.
I will encourage you, as God’s Kingdom Messenger, to step up to the plate and pray. We can no longer sit in the bleachers simply cheering our teammates. We must get the bat, step up to the plate, and start swinging!
You are meant to hit home runs!
You are meant to be God’s messenger for God’s hour.
You are meant to move mountains and not allow the mountains to keep you stuck.
You are part of that royal remnant called and set apart to tear down the wicked strongholds that are gripping the nations.
May I encourage you with three steps to take to rise up now and start praying?
No, it’s not too late, my friend.
- Step 1: Don’t stop praying. No matter what the news is or how bad the circumstances appear, do not stop praying. Sometimes it’s going to look like evil is overcoming good. The enemy would like nothing more than to bind believers into a web of fear and discouragement. Walk by faith and not by sight and remember: The battle that rages is not against flesh and blood:
Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh an d blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-4: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds..”
- Step 2: Pray as an ambassador of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:20) God has anointed you to pray in His name to break the yoke. (Isaiah 10:27) You have the authority in Jesus to speak.
I encourage you to take up the mantle of Apostolic prophetic intercession. What that means is you can decree and declare God’s Words and not simply your own. This is one factor that really stirs my soul, and I hope it encourages you. The prayer you pray does NOT have to originate from you.
Think of it in this way: Pray from the standpoint of knowing who you are in Christ Jesus. You have His hope of Glory living inside you. Just as Christ is seated at the right Hand of the Father, so are you. You are destined to do even greater works than Christ.
Check out this in John 14:12: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
You have been given His authority to decree and declare His Word over any situation. You can know what to say because He has give us HIS message, His Word!
You must START praying from your royal inheritance, as ambassadors of Christ, and STOP praying as paupers of a fear laden world.
- Step 3: You are His messenger speaking (praying) The Message! You are on assignment. You are the appointed remnant that is to arise and pray.
If you have fallen out of the ranks, confess your sins, get up out of the mud, and begin today.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Ready to hit home runs for Jesus? Ready to hear the applause of heaven?
Then rally with someone and begin to pray. Begin to join hearts and hands and decree what God says. Pray that HE will be the one to expose the wickedness and evil that wants to blot out the truth. Pray in His Word to tear down the strongholds of fear, apathy, lack, and evil. Pray that God’s people will arise and pray.
Pray as a spiritual giant that you are and not as a worry wimp.
Social Media Prayer Ministry
We, at the Kingdom Messenger Network™, are doing our part to take this call to prayer seriously.
In the middle of the summer, my husband challenged me to pray everyday on air, on the internet. At the time I did not think much of the impact a social media prayer ministry could have.
Almost three months later it is starting to hit me: God is looking for more apostolic prophetic prayer warriors. This call fits right in line with His leading over a year ago to assemble “God’s Media Army” online.
If you do not have a place to pray, we do invite you to join us. You can find my 14 year old daughter and myself in front of a web cam Monday through Friday at 6:45am EST and weekends at 8am EST on Spreecast. If you are not in front of your computer, but have a smart phone, you can listen live on Spreaker Web Radio as we simulcast.
And if you miss the prayer time, you can still pray with the smart phone ready video at http://SocialMediaPrayer.com.
I am encouraged by what Jennifer LeClaire, news editor at Charisma wrote recently:
“The remnant is rising and refuses to bow down to the principalities and powers that have targeted this nation for destruction. The remnant is humbling itself on behalf of a nation whose pride is pushing it toward a fall. The remnant is praying fervently for God’s kingdom to come to the United States, just as it is in heaven. The remnant is seeking His face. The remnant is repenting on behalf of a nation that has slipped from its former glory. And God hears from heaven.
“And God will forgive our sin. And God will heal our land.”
Will you be a part of this remnant?
